Born and raised in Austin, Texas, 23-year-old Kayla Katz has a gift she's eager to share with the world. With a velvety smooth voice mature beyond her years, the singer-songwriter is filled with passion.
As the songwriter has grown, she has continued to record and produce all of her music. From opening for Jade Bird to Melissa Carper, her favorite part of performing is witnessing her music move an audience to deep emotion. In a profession that can become incredibly digital, the goal remains to connect one another to the human experience. Her style can best be described as soulful acoustics that comes together to create an interpersonal experience with her audience as well as a fresh take on roots of faith.
Her connection to faith has allowed her to incorporate honesty into her songwriting, though she does not consider herself an explicitly Christian artist: “As an artist living in a world where religion was the potential to hurt people, I want to bring the opposite to my community, I want to bring love.”
